Oh, The Places You Will Go

Once you've left your comfort zone...

After months of not blogging, and keeping myself completely preoccupied,

I decided to sit down and leave a little note about what I've been up to.

Around the clock, throughout the week (and months) I've been missing from So She Wrote, my position as Fashion Editor and Content Manager of BySymphony.com has kept me on my toes without a dull moment in sight. Following the excitement of launching BySymphony.com in October of 2013, I had the opportunity to cross my title over onto BySymphony's new "baby sister" SIVVI.com where I helped decide the creative direction the site would take, worked on content creation, future plans and was lucky enough to put a content team full of superstars in place before handing it over to SIVVI's newly formed team of caretakers. Still, in some small way, I am emotionally attached to that fab little project. Setting stylish men and women in the Middle East up with a place to shop for clothes they won't necessarily find in the massive malls up and down Sheikh Zayed Road, SIVVI has the potential to go big places.

As if working across two platforms (one in luxury and the other focused on high street) wasn't enough, I've tried my hand at writing for Buro 24/7 Middle East and DOTW News, where I've written everything from Fashion, Food, Travel, Architecture, Technology, Culture, Beauty and Lifestyle news, and the result? At first, I must admit, I was quite intimidated to be writing for such well known sources of world-wide news, but once I got my toes wet with one or two articles, I was hooked.

I've since stepped back and refocused to pour all of my energy back into BySymphony.com, but it won't be long before I'm ready and willing to jump back in head-first to challenge my limitations and creativity. In the meantime I'll try to swing by So She Wrote more often.

xx,
